Deputy Prime Minister

​In May 2009, with the formation of the new Cabinet, HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan was appointed Deputy Prime Minister. The Federal Cabinet is the federation’s executive authority and, under the supreme control of HH the President and the Federal Supreme Council, it manages all internal and foreign affairs of the federation under its constitution and federal laws. The Cabinet comprises a president, two deputies and the ministers. The General Secretariat is managed by the secretary general of the cabinet.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan was born in Abu Dhabi in 1970. After receiving his high school diploma through the Abu Dhabi school system, His Highness continued his studies in the United States, where he was awarded his Bachelor's degree in International Relations in 1993. HH Sheikh Mansour was appointed as Chairman of the Office of his late father, HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, a post he held until Sheikh Zayed's sad demise in November 2004.

In November 2004, HH Sheikh Mansour was appointed as the Minister of Presidential Affairs, a ministerial portfolio created following the amalgamation of The Office of HH the President and The Presidential Court to form the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. In 2006, His Highness was appointed Chairman of the Ministerial Council for Services. In 2007, HH Sheikh Mansour was appointed Chairman of the Emirates Investment Authority (EIA), the only Sovereign Wealth Fund of the Federal Government of the United Arab Emirates.

  • His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan was born in Abu Dhabi in 1970.
