His Excellency Ahmed Mohamed Al Hameeri, Secretary General of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs (MoPA), presented the Emirates National Schools' (ENS) football team with the 2018 Mansour bin Zayed Football Cup, after the team won the final match against the Secretary General’s Office team 4 goals to 3. This is the seventh consecutive year the tournament has been held, with the 2018 final match having taken place on Tuesday evening at the Emirates Palace Hotel’s Sports Dome Stadium.
The tournament's final match was attended by HE Rashid Al Ameri, MoPA’s Undersecretary of the Government Co-ordination Division, HE Sultan Al Humairi, MoPA’s Undersecretary of the Support Services Division, HE Abdullah Nasser Al Junaibi, Vice President of the Emirates Football Association, and a number of other officials.
The Secretary General handed the tournament's trophy and the gold medals to the Emirates National Schools team, and handed the silver medals to the Secretary General Office’s team for coming in second place, while the Initiatives Affairs Office came in third after defeating the Farmers' Services Center 6-3 in the third-place match to win bronze.
The tournament, which was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, is organised by MoPA’s Sports Committee of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.
