Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, His Excellency Ahmed Mohamed Al Hameeri, Secretary General of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs (MoPA), launched the ‘Ihtimam’ Programme’s upgraded website, which aims to develop government work and enhance efforts to increase clients' satisfaction with public services in the UAE.
The website features the inaugural remarks by HH Sheikh Mansour, in which he points out that the programme aims at activating co-operation with various governmental agencies and co-ordinating with them to improve government services. It also aims to support the government's drive towards implementing the concepts of good administrative governance. Additionally, the programme will support transparency and accountability while encouraging active participation in finding solutions to problems, serving customers through the rapid response to their requirements and achieving government objectives in serving the community. HE the Secretary General stressed that ‘Ihtimam’ (which means ‘Care’) is one of the effective government programmes that complements the work of government agencies. It is an interactive link between the clients and official institutions, and works to find a formula of understanding and appropriate solution to clients’ pending issues, providing them with a platform from which to express their comments and place their requests in direct co-ordination with the institutions concerned. The ultimate aim is to deliver high quality services that meet the expectations and aspirations of the community of end-users.
Al Hameeri explained that all complaints, suggestions and observations received through the ‘Ihtimam’ website would be handled with careful attention. Each would be properly studied and assessed, through communication with the respective institutions to deal with or resolve them. The ‘Ihtimam’ Programme reflects the vision of the UAE's wise leadership in spreading happiness with the government's services.
